Can I access QuietCam recordings in the Files app?

QuietCam saves recordings to its private in-app gallery by default. You can export or share any file through the iOS share sheet — including saving to the Files app or your Photos library — whenever you choose.

By design, QuietCam keeps your recordings inside its own private gallery rather than scattering them across your device. This keeps sensitive or work-related captures separate from your personal Camera Roll and gives you a single place to review everything you have recorded. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and no cloud sync happens in the background.

When you are ready to move a recording elsewhere, QuietCam uses the standard iOS share sheet. From the in-app gallery, select a photo, video, or audio file and tap share. From there you can save it to the Files app, add it to your Photos library, send it through Messages or Mail, drop it into a note-taking or cloud-storage app, or hand it off to any app that accepts that file type.

Saving to the Files app is useful when you want to organize recordings into folders, attach them to documents, or move them to a connected drive or a cloud provider like iCloud Drive. Because the export is entirely user-initiated, you stay in control of exactly which files leave QuietCam and where they go.

If you would rather your recordings end up in the standard Photos app automatically, see our FAQ on exporting to the Camera Roll. And to understand how the private gallery protects your media in the first place, read our private photo gallery guide.

  • Save to the Files app (including iCloud Drive)
