Privacy Policy

Overview
QuietCam (“Black Screen Camera QuietCam”) is developed by Pawel Chmiel. Privacy is a core design principle. This page summarizes how the app handles your information. For the complete legal privacy policy, see the official privacy policy.
Data Collection
QuietCam does not collect personal data, usage analytics, device identifiers for tracking, or advertising data. The app does not require an account or sign-up. No data leaves your device during normal app use.
Local Storage
All photos, videos, and audio recordings are stored locally on your iPhone in the app's private gallery. There is no cloud backup, server upload, or remote sync. You control when and if media is exported to your Camera Roll or shared via the iOS share sheet.
Permissions
QuietCam requests only the permissions needed for its core functionality:
- Camera — to capture photos and videos
- Microphone — to record audio and video with sound
- Photo Library — only when you choose to export to Camera Roll
Purchases
PRO subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect purchase history data as described in their privacy policy. This data is not linked to your QuietCam recordings and is not accessible to the developer in a way that identifies your media.
iOS System Indicators
When the camera or microphone is active, iOS displays a green or orange privacy indicator in the status bar or Dynamic Island. This is an Apple system requirement that applies to all apps, including QuietCam. The app cannot override this indicator.
Children's Privacy
QuietCam is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no account system and no data collection mechanisms.
