How does burst mode work in QuietCam?

Burst mode in QuietCam is a PRO feature designed for situations where you need repeated photo capture without manually tapping the screen each time. Once activated, QuietCam takes photos automatically at a custom interval you set — for example, every 5 seconds, every 30 seconds, or every few minutes. Your screen stays dark or disguised throughout the entire burst session, and the camera works silently in the background.

Setting up burst mode is straightforward. Select burst mode from QuietCam's recording options, configure your desired capture interval, and choose your camera and lens settings as you would for any other mode. When you are ready, tap the screen to start the burst sequence. QuietCam begins taking photos at the specified interval automatically. Tap again to stop the burst when you have captured what you need.

Burst mode is particularly useful for time-based documentation. Researchers observing changes over time, students capturing whiteboard content during a long lecture, or users documenting a progression — such as a construction project, plant growth, or event timeline — can set an interval and let QuietCam handle the repetitive capture work. Because the screen remains dark, burst sessions are unobtrusive even in shared spaces.

All burst photos are saved to QuietCam's private gallery, where you can review them individually or in sequence. Each photo includes an optional timestamp overlay if you have that feature enabled, making it easy to organize and reference burst captures later. You can export selected photos to your Camera Roll or delete unwanted frames to manage storage.

Burst mode requires a PRO subscription and works with both front and rear cameras on compatible iPhone models. It captures photos only — not video — at each interval.
